They'll Google you before they vote.
Right now, searching your name returns a line of text on the Clerk's certified list. Give them a campaign website instead — live in five business days, $999 flat, every Municipal Elections Act disclosure already in the footer.
This is the real template. Only the words change.
One campaign per ward · Bookings close Friday, October 2
Alongside is a decorative preview — a lawn sign and a phone showing a sample campaign site that redraws as you type your name above. It contains no information not already written on this page.
Same voter. Same search. Two answers.
Undecided voters look up every name on the ballot. What they find in those eight seconds is the entire impression you get to make.

The paragraph your web designer won't write.
Any freelancer can build you something attractive. Almost none have read the Municipal Elections Act — and it isn't their name on the financial statement filed in March.

The question everybody asks first.
"Can you do it cheaper? My budget is tight."
No — and the reason matters to you far more than it does to me. Under the Municipal Elections Act, the difference between a discounted price and fair market value is a contribution. Contributions from corporations are prohibited.
If you were given a break on this invoice, that gap would surface as an unlawful corporate contribution in your financial statement, filed in March under your name, reviewed by your municipality's compliance committee.
Every candidate pays $999. That's how your filing stays clean.
Do you work with other candidates in my ward?
One campaign per ward. First booking holds it. If someone in your ward has already booked, you'll be told before you pay — not after.
Who owns the domain?
You do. Registered in your name, and it stays with you whether you win, lose, or run again in 2030.
Why can't I take donations on the site?
Because the obligations behind that button are real: receipting every contribution, the $25 cash rule, and publicly naming every contributor over $100 in your financial statement. Most municipal campaigns raise more, and file more cleanly, handling contributions directly. If you want it anyway, it's a $200 add-on and it'll be set up properly.
Can I update it myself?
Four content updates are included — new events, news posts, endorsements. Email what you want changed and it's live within 48 hours. You won't be learning a page builder during a campaign.
Is this an election expense?
Yes. It counts against your general spending limit — $5,000 plus $0.85 per eligible elector for council or trustee, $7,500 plus $0.85 for head of council. Your Clerk gave you the estimate when you filed.
What happens after October 26?
Hosting runs to December 31, the end of the campaign period. Win, and it converts to a constituency site for $400. Don't, and you can archive it or hold it for 2030 at $15 a month.
I filed weeks ago. Is it too late?
No. Bookings stay open until October 2. After that the site wouldn't be live long enough to be worth what you paid, so it becomes rush-only and subject to capacity.
What if I hate the first draft?
Two revision rounds are included, and most of what people want changed is wording rather than layout. Nothing goes live on your domain until you say it's right.
Be findable by the time they're deciding.
Pay, send four things, and it's handled. The intake form arrives by email the moment payment clears, and your call gets booked the same day.
